Dr. Kate Cappe

Dr. Kate Cappe grew up on the island of Maui, Hawaii. She moved to California to attend college where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary Medicine from California Polytechnic State University in 2010.

Dr. Cappe attended Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Stillwater, OK where she graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2015. After graduation, Dr. Cappe moved to south Florida where she completed a one year rotating internship focused in small animal surgery and emergency medicine at VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital. She continued to work for the following 5 years in south Florida as an emergency and general practitioner.

In 2020 Dr. Cappe moved to Mount Pleasant, SC to be closer to her family and start new roots in the low country. She has been practicing emergency medicine at the local emergency hospital. During the past year, Dr. Cappe realized the value in having quality veterinary care that could be delivered in the comfort of your own home. She decided to create a veterinary practice that values the highest quality medicine, while also being where your pets are happiest, at home.

Dr. Cappe is accompanied by her two Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Hank and Daphne and a sweet rescue kitty, Hugh Mungus. In her free time, Dr. Cappe enjoys surfing, playing soccer with a local league, and riding her reining horse. Dr. Cappe’s special interests in veterinary medicine include endocrine disease management, urgent care, nutrition, canine reproduction, and wellness care.
